Social Networking for the Physics Community

Acta n. (acta) Journal, Register of events

Physica n. (physica) Physics, The physical sciences

ActaPhysica is a free social networking platform for the physics community. If you are a physicist, physics student, physics teacher or a layperson interested in physics, this community is for you.

ActaPhysica enables you to:

  • Connect with like-minded people. Become part of a global community of physicists. Create a profile for yourself or your organization. Customise it with your information, rich media and more.

  • Network with your peers in the worldwide physics community. ActaPhysica gives you the opportunity to network with physicists worldwide. Make friends, professional contacts, collaborate with your peers. ActaPhysica Groups can be used to consolidate the online presence and membership base of your school or organisation.

  • Share knowledge, ideas, problems, and resources. Contribute to the ActaPhysica pool of knowledge. Join groups, converse on the forums, share your articles and resources and upload your pictures.

  • Find jobs and opportunities worldwide. Are you looking for a job? Ask people if they have openings at their institutions. Or else, use the site's search functionality to search for jobs or opportunities that people have posted.

  • Create and grow your own communities. You own and moderate the groups you create. Groups have discussion topics and group pages that all group members can create and edit.

  • Create a Blog. We've all heard of weblogs, but how many of us have started one? You can create one on this site. You can choose whether your blog is private, restricted to community members, or viewable by everyone on the internet.

  • Create unlimited Wiki pages (coming soon). ActaPhysica will have a Wiki that will be powered by the software that runs Wikipedia. Use it as you will ... put up your biodata, your research, create your own mini-site, it's all yours. Using the Wiki is so easy you will be able to start creating pages in minutes.

  • Post real-time messages. You can post status messages that are viewable from your profile page, or site-wide messages that are displayed on the site river.

  • Import your twitter posts. and integrate them within your profile.
